Durability of polymeric materials

Exploring the mechanism of evolution which controls the lifetime of a polymer blend when ageing (specially analytical recognition using molecular micro-sonde techniques),

Studying artificially accelerated photo-ageing in SEPAP 12.24 and 12.24H units,

Studying the relations between artificial accelerated photo-ageing and weathering,

Comparing different artificial photoageings (SEPAP 12.24 and SEPAP 12.24H vs W.O.M. CI4000),

Studying thermal-, hydrolytic- or radiochemical-ageing of polymer blends,

Evaluating the efficiency of photostabilizing and thermostabilizing additives,

Evaluating the durability of the actions of some additives (antistatic, demisting, fire-proofing),

Determining the durability of blends in outdoor conditions (specially for business between industrial companies),

Improving photostabilisation techniques

Improving programmed photodegradation techniques

Expert reports for tribunals and insurance companies in case of durability litigation.

Microspectrophotometric analysis of small size defects or contaminants in polymeric blends (micro-FTIR, FTIR-PAS, micro FT-Raman, microspectrofluorimetry, AFM …)
Sport equipement

Microspectrophotometric analysis and evaluation of the durabilities of organic materials used in the elaboration, restoration, and conservation of works of art (paintings, sculptures, monuments, audio-visual documents, archeological objects etc…)
Automobile
